Where can one attain shoes to fit a foot deformed by Charcot Osteoarthropathy, apart from a hospital?

Someone I know has severe foot abnormality due to Charcot arthropathy caused by diabetes. Hospital footwear clinics enjoy long waiting lists and he is desperate for some shoes. Does anyone know any shops/ companies that specialise within making shoes and slippers for large/deformed feet?Where can one attain shoes to fit a foot deformed by Charcot Osteoarthropathy, apart from a hospital?
Depending on where on earth you are, see if there is an orthotics company practical by. In the US, I recommend Hanger.
My mum has Charcot Marie tooth which suggest she has a unbelievably high instep and drop foot, she wear splints and at the moment she is wearing Hush Puppies, normally a size larger than commonplace or she will wear a mans shoes, doesn`t matter what suits.
