Why does your "pee" smell funny after u devour asparagus?
Asparagus has sulfur containing amino acids that are metabolized to mercaptans, a group of smelly compounds.
Some sources enunciate that only partly the population produces the odor. Others say that we adjectives produce the odor, but only more or less half of us can smell it. Ain't inheritance wonderful?
