Where can I find information to explain a report from have a 24 hour heart monitor?
Don't go on the net, there is hell lot of difference between supposed and practical reading/s, your cardiologist will do the job.
Ask your Doctor. If he/she starts using hi-tech terms, enlighten them to explain in plain English. I'm not trying to be smart here, but have worked in EMS for plentiful years, I have see this too often. You hold the right to ask questions, ANY query and they have the responsibility of answering EVERY request for information. Some of the 'old school' Docs still hang on to the "Doctor as god' complex...but nope..they're newly human. Heard one tell an feeble lady she "suffered a primary syncopal recoil, but you'll be fine now." What's that tight-fisted..it means 'you faint.' Get my point?
It's your health or the vigour of a loved one. If you want to know, then ask and maintain asking until you get your answers. It is your RIGHT.
Your physician will explain to you the results and what it means. If he/she does not explain the results, next take the report to someone you can bring an answer from.a new doctor.
