When did salmonella, so heaps food recall, the threat of undercooked ground meat become so adjectives?

We ate everything as kids--even raw ground meat; coarse cookie dough--and did not get unwell, or die. Why is there so much more microbes these days?
If anything, you would estimate modern technology (and the FDA) would have made foods safer than ever back...When did salmonella, so heaps food recall, the threat of undercooked ground meat become so adjectives?
BECAUSE WE ARE TRYING TO BRING OUR CHILDREN UP IN A STERILE ENVIRONMENT, GONE ARE THE DAYS WHEN A CHILD DROPPED A SWEET ON THE GROUND AND PICKED IT UP AND ATE IT, IF THIS WAS STILL ALLOWED AMONG SEVERAL OTHER THINGS WE NO LONGER ALLOW OUR CHILDREN TO DO, WE WOULD INADVERTENTLY BE BUILDING UP THEIR IMMUNE SYSTEMS. SO IT IS OUR SOCIETY THAT WE LIVE IN THAT HAS CAUSED SO MANY DISEASES. AS FOR RAW MEAT AND RAW COOKIE DOUGH IT IS THE GOVERNMENT WHO SAY THAT WE CANT EAT IT. PROBABLY BECAUSE IT NOW COMES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD AND GIVING US DISEASES THAT WE NEVER EVER NEW EXISTED, AS THEY SAY THE WORLD IS NOW YOUR OYSTER.
I don't know when this became adjectives, but my grandfather died from it.As far as the FDA,or any other govt.agency goes,
I don't trust them.
